The focus of Compassion Ministries at Harvest Bible Chapel… to honor God by fulfilling the mission the Lord gave His followers to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to follow His ways (Matthew 28:19-20). He hasn’t just given the local church a place to meet, but has planted us in communities that He desires for us to fully reach. We are to live out the Great Commission through ministry in Word and deed (Romans 15:18).

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”
— Matthew 25:35

This is the passion and heartbeat of Harvest Compassion Ministries.

One of the ways we will support this effort locally is through the  Harvest Compassion Center. The HCC is a local food bank and clothes closet serving the community, in partnership with Mitchell Swaback Charities. For more information about the HCC and Mitchell Swaback Charities and how you can be involved, click here.

Join us for our Donor Drive!  Each week in the lobby of HBCG visit our Compassion table, there you may pick up a black Compassion bag, keep the bag for two months in your pantry and slowly fill with food, hygiene and/or baby items.  We will hold HBC Collection Sundays periodically through the year.  On Collection Sunday, bring your filled black bag with you to Sunday morning worship and drop off.

Please feel free to fill the Compassion bag with any food, hygiene and/or baby products your family uses.  This will allow us to donate a wide selection of food and hygiene products to the Harvest Compassion Center!  Thank you for serving your local community!
